Being Enough

http://markgroves.tv/if-youve-ever-felt-like-youre-not-enough-read-this/

As someone who has lived their entire life feeling ‘not enough’, the knowledge in this blog is not new. However, timing is everything in terms of being in a head space and place in life to be sufficently open and capable for integrating and transforming awareness and understanding into true wisdom, action and change.  Whether I’m actually able to get to being ‘enough’ with and for myself remains to be seen.  What I do know for sure is the ‘audit’ of my values and choices about what and who is important in my life has been occurring for some time, and slowly but surely, there is an internal shift towards a greater sense of peace, contentment, and liberation with me and who I am. Could this be it? Is this what feeling ‘enough’ and ‘lovable’ feels like? Is this what being the ‘real’ me feels like? Yes, I believe it is.

Start with an audit of your life… and then get ready to be courageous. Because all of this stuff is easy to understand with our brains… and a whole other story to face and change. Why? Changing parts of our identity, especially a core belief (that we’re unlovable), can be challenging because of the neural pathways we’ve built and the foundations of our life (jobs, religion & relationships) have been constructed upon our identity in order to reinforce it. We’ll even fight wars and kill others to preserve our beliefs.

So, if we want to feel like we’re enough we have to make choices that reflect that. In each moment where you’re feeling stuck and/or wondering what you should do, ask yourself:

“If I was enough, would I tolerate this situation? If I was enough, would this matter? If I was enough, what would I do in this moment?”

…to truly understand, …to truly feel, to awaken to the truth… that the loneliness you fear, the paralyzing concern that if people met the real you, you won’t be loved… is happening right before you’re eyes. Because if you don’t share your deepest truths with the world, you’re sending the message to yourself that you’re not lovable. The thing you fear most you’re already living in… so it can’t get worse. It can only get better. And the people who are meant to love you for the real you, will. That’s a fact. But they can’t find you till you find you.

Human Touch

Isn’t this what we all want?  Just a little human touch.  :)❤

earthYou and me we were the pretenders
We let it all slip away
In the end what you don’t surrender
Well the world just strips away…
Girl, aint no kindness in the face of strangers
Aint gonna find no miracles here
Well you can wait on your blesses my darling
I got a deal for you right here
I aint looking for praise or pity
I aint coming round searching for a crutch
I just want someone to talk to
And a little of that human touch
Just a little of that human touch

Aint no mercy on the streets of this town
Aint no bread from heavenly skies
Aint nobody drawing wine from this blood
It’s just you and me tonight
Tell me, in a world without pity
Do you think what I’m asking’s too much
I just want something to hold on to
And a little of that human touch
Just a little of that human touch

Oh girl that feeling of safety that you prize
Well it comes at a hard hard price
You can’t shut off the risk and the pain
Without losing the love that remains
Were all riders on this train

So you’ve been broken and you’ve been hurt
Show me somebody who aint
Yeah, I know I aint nobody’s bargain
But, hell, a little touch up and a little paint…
You might need something to hold on to
When all the answers, they don’t amount too much
Somebody that you could just to talk to
And a little of that human touch
Baby, in a world without pity
Do you think what I’m asking’s too much
I just want to feel you in my arms
Share a little of that human touch
Feel a little of that human touch
Give me a little of that human touch

Abundance Imagined

It never ceases to amaze me how the Universe delivers little miracles of the divine.  This image was delivered via a beautiful woman, inside and out, who I am blessed to know. She posted it. I saw it. Then I truly saw it – the image’s significance. How it perfectly symbolizes and reflects the vision that I had in mind when creating Tether Abundance.   I imagined infinite number of balloons containing all different types and forms of abundance, that only humans are able to think and feel about.   Abundance in the physical, from the air we breath, the water we drink, the food we eat, the breathtaking beauty we see, and the symphony of sounds we hear, to touch of a hand, hug from a friend and kiss of loved one.  Abundance in the mind, from thoughts we think, the art we create, and the science we discover, to the conversations we share, the communities we build, and the nations we grow.   Abundance in and of the soul, from the rainbow of emotions we feel, whether it is joy of celebration or tears of grief, to the peace and grace of the divine I believe we all have within.

AbundanceAll this, and infinitely more, is here, now, all around and above us.    Ethereal strings hanging down from the balloons of abundance, waiting for us to choose to see and decide to go for it. All we need to do to get it, is love.  Love by opening our hearts to open our eyes. Love by lightening the load holding us down in letting go of all the baggage of pain from past wounds and false beliefs, assumptions and expectations our human ego tells us we need to carry around. Then reach up, leap, and jump as high as you can, grab tether that abundance, and carry it along with you on your journey through life, loving and trusting with faith and grace that all will be well as intended. Amen.

Thank you and bless my friend, a beautiful brilliant spirited woman, for sharing this image on Facebook, which allowed me to see it, grab and tether it to then share  with others. I’m so looking forward to watching her, and many others, whomever they are, where ever they are, soar even higher and brighter than ever before in 2014 and beyond.

Namaste❤🙂

Size Doesn’t Matter?

via In the Human Brain, Size Really Isn’t Everything – NYTimes.com.

Human Brain EvolutionSize doesn’t matter when it comes to the human brain? Hmmm….I guess that like many, perhaps even most, things in life, its about quality  rather than quantity. In regards to our human brain, it is about the neurological qualify of the functional abilities of neurons and not the quantity, or number of them.  More of the same is irrelavent.  Its simply more, not necessarily better. Better as in improved, comes with increasing the functionality per amount ratio. In simpler terms, it’s about  relative effectiveness and efficiency. Or in our capitalistic focused society, getting the most value returned with limited resources invested – the biggest bang for the buck.

Makes sense.🙂

We humans are pretty amazing. <3

Why the eff didn’t you watch these TED Talks? The 2013 edition.

Awesome collection of the best of Ted Talks for 2013.

TED Blog

Perhaps you are looking forward to a new and hopeful 2014; perhaps you see late December as the perfect time for reflection and resolution. I’m pleased to let you off the hook. This is the time when you should look back at your year and focus on the question: What TED Talks did I miss? Lucky for you, the 2013 edition of “Why the eff didn’t you watch these TED Talks?” — which, amazingly, you seemed to like last year — is here. New and hopeful is fine and good, but I’m more in favor of not forgetting the old, the weird, the mystifying, the liminal and the hidden. And so I give you: My favorite 11 under-loved TED Talks of 2013. Be ready to be mildly chastised for missing out on them the first time around.
